Purchase and install energy-efficient Long Windows and you'll qualify for a federal tax credit covering 30% of the cost, up to $1,500 per household.
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 was signed into law by President Obama on February 17, 2009. It includes tax credit refunds for eligible energy-efficient windows and doors installed prior to December 31, 2010.
To be eligible for the government program your new energy-efficient windows must carry a U-Factor of .30 or lower and a Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) of .30 or lower. Not all Energy Star rated windows qualify, but Long Windows do. They carry a U-Factor of .16 and a SHGC of .20. This makes Long Windows one of the most energy-efficient windows available today.
