A roof replacement is one of the most important investments you will even make. The safety and integrity of your home depend upon a solid, reliable roof installed by trustworthy, knowledgeable roofing pros.

That’s why your first – and best – option is Long Roofing®, the roof installation experts. Long Roofing® is the professional company you can trust to give you peace of mind.

Long Roofing® holds the exclusive CertainTeed SELECT ShingleMaster roof replacement accreditation, a level of certification held by only 1% of roofers in the U.S. At Long Roofing®, we hold ourselves to a high standard of outstanding craftsmanship, reliability and professionalism.

We also offer our customers in the Harrisburg-Lebanon-Carlisle region one of the best guarantees in the business: our 50-year, non-prorated transferable warranty.

Trust, integrity and longevity.

Long Roofing® is part of a family business with nearly 70 years of home improvement experience and excellence under our tool belts. We have made it our mission to bring integrity and trust to the roofing profession.

Too often, hard-working homeowners have endured unpleasant experiences with roof replacement contractors who cut corners, wasted time or used subpar materials. These small-time roofers can come across as unserious about the business of roofing – until, of course, it’s time to cut the check.

And while some of these roof installation pros have their heart in the right place, the nature of their business can make it difficult to say if they will be around in four, five or even 10 years – which makes it tough for you, the customer, when you are trying to enforce your 20-year warranty.

Understanding the whole roof system

Your roof is more than shingles and wood. A roof replacement by Long Roofing® includes the a combination of top-quality materials and roofing know-how in order to create the elements of the whole roof system.

The whole roof system includes:

  • The deck, the wooden, structural surface of the roof.
  • The drip edge, which guides water off the eaves.
  • The ice and water barrier applied to the deck to prevent damage from potential ice damming.
  • The underlayment to keep the deck dry while shingles are applied.
  • Flashing to protect spots where the roof meets a vertical wall, like a chimney.
  • Shingles to repel water and protect the roof. They look great, too!
  • Ventilation to ensure your roof stays cool and dry, regardless of the conditions.

What kinds of roof replacements does Long Roofing® offer?

We at Long Roofing® offer two styles of high-quality roofing: shingle roofs and shake-style roofs.

Shingle roofs, often utilizing asphalt shingles (80% of the homes in the U.S. use asphalt shingles), are very popular.  Your roof installation can include shingles in a wide variety of colors, including Sea Green, Gray Frost, Black Pepper, Oakwood, Brick Red and many others. All of our roof replacement shingle choices resist streaking caused by airborne algae.

Shake-style roofs use highly durable, laminated fiberglass shingles that have the beautifully rustic look of authentic wooden shakes. Shake-style roofs have what is called a “high-definition appearance” and are available in several colors. If wind is a concern, please note that shake-style shingles can resist winds of up to 110 miles per hour. That’s great added safety for your roofing investment.
