It's a given that when you use rolls (or batts) of insulation you are bound to have gaps where air can still infiltrate your home. In fact, tests conducted by a fiberglass manufacturer found that the actual performance of fiberglass batts can be 14% to 45% less than their labeled R-value when gaps and voids associated with traditional batt insulation are considered. However when you use a blown-in cellulose product like Long Insulation there are no gaps to worry about so you receive the performance you pay for.
Several tests conducted by different independent laboratories found that cellulose insulation performed better than fiberglass, blocked air infiltration better than fiberglass and saved you more money than fiberglass on your energy bills.
