Long Doors Qualify for the 30% Federal Tax Credit

Purchase and install energy-efficient Long Doors and you'll qualify for a federal tax credit covering 30% of the cost, up to $1,500 per household.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 was signed into law by President Obama on February 17, 2009. It includes tax credit refunds for eligible energy-efficient doors installed prior to December 31, 2010.

To be eligible for the government program your new energy-efficient door(s) must carry a U-Factor of .30 or lower.

Federal Tax Credit
It's easy to qualify for and claim the federal tax credit:
  1. Contact Long Doors for a free, no obligation in-home consultation
  2. Work with the Long Doors representative to find the energy-efficient doors that will enhance the beauty of your home while they save you money
  3. Purchase and complete installation of your doors on or before December 31, 2010
  4. Long Doors will provide everything you need to submit to qualify for the tax credit
  5. Submit the required documentation along with IRS Tax Form 5695 and your tax return to request your tax credit
Please note:
  • The tax credit covers the cost of the products only - it does not include installation costs
  • The tax credit will be equal to 30% of the amount paid for the doors, up to a maximum of $1,500 per household
  • These tax credits are only available on replacement doors; if you are building a new home you do not qualify
