John DePaola

Chief Executive Officer and President

John DePaola is Chief Executive Officer and President of Long Fence and Home, one of the largest installers of residential windows and home improvements in the Washington, DC, metropolitan marketplace.

After nearly a decade of experience in product development at Long Fence, Mr. Long asked Mr. DePaola to expand the brand by adding other home improvement products to the Long Fence lines. The two saw the market was in need of a trusted leader in other quality products for the home, and thus embarked on a new endeavor.

Working closely with Mr. Long and following his well-gathered advice and instructions, Mr. DePaola established a new product initiative: marketing, selling, installing and servicing replacement windows, siding and doors. Today, Mr. DePaola runs the entire operation, ensuring that all functions are working towards the company’s ultimate goal: to service area homeowners with the highest quality and best value in replacement windows and doors, exterior siding and quality kitchen remodeling. He has been the president of Long Fence and Home since the company’s inception in 1994, and now operates under the title of CEO.

Mr. DePaola holds a B.S. in Engineering Science from Loyola College in Maryland and an MBA from the University of Baltimore. He enjoys an occasional round of golf, exercising and cruising in his beloved convertible Mustang. He takes advantage of every opportunity to spend time with his family, travel new places and visit his family’s beach home in Delaware.

Stephen Wheatley

Director of the Baths Division

Stephen Wheatley came to Long Fence and Home with an extensive home improvement background.  He said he found his true calling at Long Fence and Home because he wanted to represent the line of Long Quality Products that homeowners in MD, DC and Virginia value most for their home improvements. The favorite part of his job, besides training the Long Bath Specialists, is hearing from our Baths clients how we’ve improved their homes and their lives.  “After we’ve installed a new shower or tub and a client says how we made their life easier or made it safer for them to get in and out of their tub – it assures me that I’m doing the right thing.”

When he’s not meeting with clients or in the classroom training new Bath Specialists, Stephen likes to eat crabs and go out on the water with his family and his dog, Marley.
